7TH-G-Grandfather Michael Ament was born in the year 1620 in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. I don't have the name of his wife. The children were, Eldert b. 1644, & Michael. No date for his birth.

6TH-G-Grandparents; Eldert Ament was born in the year 1644, in Aurich, Ost-Friesland, Germany. His wife Jannetje Michielsdr Spanjeart & Eldert had eight children. Annetje, b.abt 22 March 1671, Jannetje, b.abt. 22 August 1672, Mighiel, b.abt. 17 May 1674, Anna, b.abt. 24 March,1677, Jaan b.abt. 10 December 1679, Pieter b.abt 25 October 1682, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Hermannus, b.abt 8 April 1685, Jan b.abt 9 January 1688. All dates are Baptismal dates.

5TH G-Grandparents; Pieter Ament was b.abt 25 October 1682 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is not known at this time when his father came to the Netherlands. I assume the last two children were also born in the Netherlands. Pieter left the Netherlands and arrived in New York sometime after 1700. He married Elizabeth Van Tienhoven on 16 of September 1707 in Dutchess County, New York. Elizabeth was born in New York City the 12th November 1690 to Dr Lucas Van Tienhoven and wife Katherine Tryntje Bording. The children of Pieter and Elizabeth were, Elizabeth b. August 1708, Lucas b. October 1712, Jannetje Mar 1716, d.Infant, Jannetje b. July 1717, Eldert b. January 1719, Catherina b. August 1721, Sara b. Jun 1723, Lucas, b. July 1728, Johannes b. 1731, d.Infant, Johannes b. 1735.
