Magdeline Hilton (daughter of Mainwearing Hilton and Mary Moulton) was born 1675 in York, ME, and died February 04, 1724/25 in York, ME. She married Elias Weare on 1697 in York, ME, son of Peter Weare and Mary Purington.

Notes for Magdeline Hilton:
It is history that Ruth's mother Magdalene Hilton Adams was held
captive by the Indians and she was returned in 1695. Magdalene had a
son born while she was in captivity. Her husband, Nathaniel Adams,
had been killed by Indians and was not the father. It is speculation
that Ruth was half indian - born after Magdalene's return, but before
her marriage to Elias Weare. Magdalene and Ruth Bragdon, wife of
Eliakim Wardwell, were half sisters, their mother being Mary Moulton
(Hilton) who married second Samuel Bragdon.
