I am researching the De Costa family from Berkeley, California. Joseph Francis De Costa, my Great Grandfather, born in the Fayal Islands (Azores) on 01-09-1853, is as far back as I have gone so far. His wife Marianna Cunha was born in the Graciosa Islands in 1861. They were married in 1881 in San Francisco, California, and lived in Berkeley.
