| We began our research approximately four years ago and lost it to a "hard drive crash" with no back-up. From what we know Francisco Waltono Hidalgo was brough to Jenkinsburg, GA by Doc Holiday in the early 1800's. We have a family reunion every year - Labaor Day Weekend - at my home in Forsyth, GA. Four years ago we were very excited to find an entire family of "kin" we didn't even know we had -- and hope to find more. The spelling of the name has changed over the years, from Hidalgo to E'Dalgo to Edalgo. Doesn't matter how it's spelled, we're all family. If you think you might be, too, please let us know. |
