Searching for surnames Decker, (Neiman; Nieman; Neumann), Kunkle, Shearer, (Misiak; Mishak; Myszak), (Dabrovski; Dambrowski; Dabroski), (Kociszewski; Koskey) in Westmoreland Co., PA 1800 thru present. My Decker's are probably descendants of immigrants Jan Broersen DECKER and/or Jan Gerretsen DECKER who settled in the New Netherlands about 1640. These descendants migrated from Ulster/Orange Counties, New York to Sussex Co., NJ, from there to Cumberland Co.,PA, settling in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland Co.,Pa. Some moved from there to Indiana,Co.,PA; Cambria Co.,PA; Lawrence Co.,OH and Michigan. |
