Hi, Welcome ... this gathering of family information here is due to the Life long work of my father Raymond de Cusack a well known Sydney artist that devoted later years to being professor of art teaching at his own painting colleges since first established school he opened in parramatta district in 1957. then dundas studio, grandville studio,
Haymarket studio, circular key studio, crown street Sydney studio..then a few small classes later in his life from his home.
Raymond de Cusack spent his life in art, study of Australian history and cultures around the world, and his love of the the outdoors in which were many of his painting subjects when he wasn't working in studio with his sleeves up whistling away, preparing art boards, paints, easels and information, many other things it took in preparation for his classes to be successful, in his color mixing technique Raymond de Cusack discovered a miracle for color blind students,, in mixing the colors and learning to distinguish hues the eyes could be exercised in a way that one could begin to discern the hue differences enough so that students color blind condition could be remedied to enable them to join the services such as police, army , navy etc and successfully pass the medical.. he had taken this information with him to china , being large population of the country was color blind.. while in midst of working with medical people there he didn't get to finish his work in that area, due to sets of events in his last 4 years of life.. his energy's tired and his work died with him.
Thanks to my Father and my grandmother Florence Cusack (nee marks)who have preserved some wonderful photos some over 200 years old, and the written information dad left and many other family members who contributed to the accumulation of info that helped along the way , The Nichols/Philp family branches thanks to "John Nichols First Fleeter Society" book the large extensive work of many that assembled it, and my own investigatory efforts of many hours at births deaths marriages site, www.ancestry.com , and replies from some wonderful people who have taken the time and effort to answer my community postings and emails, questions.I Thought better get it all together now for the rest of family before i forget most of the stories my father had told me from very early age up to my 30's. I understood it was going to be a continued labor of love and wonderful living jigsaw for me to complete to best of my ability and hopefully someone be interested to take up where i leave off when i go. Here in Cusack linage I am working on processing the entire Cusack families, working my way backwards as well as working forwards from early Irish de cusacks, only way to find where ours fit is process of elimination and, so down the track i will have other Cusack families added here for purpose of finding parallels in other parts so finally i can connect up our Nicholas john Cusack born Abt. 1856 in Liverpool england according to his death cert, father john mother Mary.. very difficult to connect or find how he arrived her, I am investigating that maybe he arrived with his parents and siblings Matthew, Mary, and john.. any assistance with this project will be greatly appreciated. my email is trina_333@hotmail.com please email direct rather than via the page contact, would appreciate any input that those who feel they may have any info on my branches .Cusack, Woodward, Harvey, Marks, Cashmore, Bianchini, Evani, McMillan, Nellist, Appleton, Knowles, Gearin, Guerin, Guearin, are my main searches at moment and what seem to be my most elusive.
