Vetty's Appalachian Roots

I am researching several surnames from KY,TN, VA, NC, SC, and GA.
My brick walls are: Hartley and Blocker from Tattnall Co, GA; Ayers from Lee Co, VA and surounding areas; Lemons from Hancock Co, TN and surrounding area as well as the Cliftons. I'm also interested in the Englands of Burke Co, NC.
Other names include: Blanton, Taylor, Gilbert from these areas.
This makes my 9th year of research. I am currently a member of NGS and enrolled in their Basic Course.
