| This web page is dedicated to the genealogy of Rev. Rudolph Duenger, D.D. (1808-1902). Rudolph was born in Stuttgart, Wurttemberg, the son of Karl Friedrich von Duenger and Heinrike Charlotte Bloss. He trained to become a German Reformed minister and then migrated to America in 1833 to serve in the Pennsylvania Field. He served two principal circuits during his career, the Lower Mahanoy Reformed Charge in Northumberland County (1836-54), and Zion's German Reformed Church in Ashland, Schuylkill County, which he founded, from 1856 to 1891. Duenger descendants settled in Northumberland County (Shamokin), Dauphin County (Berrysburg and Williamstown), Schuylkill County (Ashland), and Montgomery County (Hatfield). I have been researching the Duenger family since 1990. Any new information is greatly appreciated. Related family names include AMMERMAN, BRESSLER, CRESSMAN, GERHARD, GERHART, FISHER, HODGE, KEHLER, LUPPOLD, MUTSCHLER, RENN, ROW, SHAFFER, WEHRY, and WERT. Please check out the various links below and the extensive photo gallery. To protect the privacy of living individuals, only the first five generations of Duenger information have been presented in the posted genealogy reports. |
