This site includes the linage of Emanuel Dees and various allied lines through the generations to Leroy Dees Jr.

According to "Jan" Dees of Pulaski Co. (b. 1797, d. 1885), daughter of Joel Dees, the Dees family originated in Scotland; was a scottish clan and took its name from the fact that the members were "dwellers on the river Dee". According to this tradition, the progenitor of the American family moved from Scotland to Wales and finally came to America.

Any information I can get relating to the "Deas" family in the "old world" and George Ivy Dees (b.6-28-1885, d. 5-6-1955)would be greatly appreciated.
