Notes for JOHN WILLIS: We are assuming that this John Willis is the brother of Jacob Wiseman Willis, as they purchased land in Gallatin Co. IL together in 1829 in Bowelsville twsp, and are near the same age. They were in KY at the same time and his wife was born in KY. His wife, Rachel, died of (TB) Consumption at age 49 in August of 1950. (This record was in the 1950 Mortality Schedule of Gallatin Co.
