Excerpt from letter dated 6/27/1962 from Ethel Streeter,Neice of Almon Bronson Flanigan, to Catherine Bronson Boudreau Vadnais.:

"The Bronsons were all from Ashfield. Grandpa Flanigan came from N.S. and evidently settled in Ashfield where he met and married grandma. They stayed there till my mother ( born in Ashfield) was l year old. Then they west to nova Scotia and stayed till she was 10 year old. And then came back. As I remember my mother telling me, Grandma didn't like it there and so they came back. I know that my mother was born in Ashfield and if she was one year old when they went to Novia Scotia, and came back when she was 10 years old then Uncle Almon must have been born in Novia Scotia, and Aunt Lizzie back here in the States."
