Notes for Floyd Ernest Moon: Floyd Ernest Moon was known throughout New England as a gifted Square Dance Caller, going by the name of "Pappy Moon". A couple of his albums are in the possession of Beverly Catherine Moon De Filippis, his granddaughter.

"Then they'd have quite a few people in town. There was one that used to be a great caller, that was Sid Gardner, used to be a great caller - what they used to call 'em years ago, they used to call 'em prompters. And then they used to have a man, used to call him Pappy Moon, and he used to be the greatest caller and used to call for lots of the later dances. I used to like his, Pappy Moon's calling, 'cause he'd sing it right along."
