This is an on-going research project and as I find, receive and organize new information I will update this page. I have been finding a lot of information on my mothers Tilley family, most of the information I have is from obituaries. I do want to acknowledge the help of Grace A. Teeter, her book "The Charles Tilley Family and Related Families" got me started and I used the dates she had to locate the obituaries to start with and then I just kept adding on. I am at a brick wall with my great great-grandparents Charles & Elizabeth (Nash) Tilley, I also want to thank my Aunt Margaret for names & photos, she is a great help and also Aunt Liz for a newspaper clipping of August Hauser and the men who built Cambria Iron Works, as far as we know it is the only photo of him that exists. I am still working on finding more "branches" to this tree, they are the easy ones.
I also want to acknowledge the help of Anne Cruce for the information she supplied me with for my Wysel family. Most of what I have for that family was from in the 1950's or 60's by Ethel Adams Baker, she did it the hard way, with leg work. We have it so easy with computers. I just add the newer things I find.
My Hauser family is a tough one, I found some leads in Germany (Prussia). If anyone has any information on this part of my tree, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If anyone finds errors in my trees, please let me know. I will only accept corrections with proof. I used obits, marriage license applications & death certificates as prove my information. I have some census info but it is sometimes unreliable.
