I am researching my Heritage which originated in France.
We came to Australia in 1953 and a number of my relatives back in Holland have not maintained their lineage.
I believe that we originated in France and one of my ancesters from a non warring family was seconded into one of the many germanic wars where he met a German lass crossed into Holland and changed his name to a phonetic de Kok and settled there.
My coat of arms consists of three cockerels on a shield with no armaments below it.
Any information would be appreciated and I would be happy to share what knowledge I have gained so far.
