| This clan has been traced to Joseph H. Delap of Ward 6, Hamiltoncounty Ohio (Cincinatti) in the 1850 census, and I have reached a dead end. The Ohio marriage records have some Delap's listed for the years prior to 1850, but I can't find Joseph. His wifes name was Sarah, and in 1850 they had a daughter named Cote, age 1 year. My next documentation about Joseph is in Lexington, Lafayette county, Missouri in 1858 when he marries another Sarah, whose last name is Williamson. How can I find out what happened ,to Wife #1 and to the daughter named Cote ? Thanks |
