5. MUNGO⁵ BUCHANAN (MUNGO⁴, ROBERT³, MUNGO², ROBERT¹) was born Abt. 1662, and died 03 April 1710. He married ANNA BARCLAY 21 January 1686/87 in Scotland, daughter of JOHN BARCLAY and JEAN GORDON. She was born Bet. 1662 - 1666 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, and died 26 August 1758.

Notes for MUNGO BUCHANAN:
Admitted to the Signet as a Writer in 1695. In 1709, he purchased an estate known as Auchintorlie in the parish of Old Kilpatrick, Dumbartonshire -- to the west of Glasgow. Auchintorlie was sold in 1737 to Andrew Buchanan of Drumpellier.

Mungo Buchanan's testament is dated 19 April 1711.
