| We are looking for information on the Deltour family. Our ancestor, Joseph Deltour, married Leona Soulez (or Soulee or Soilee, not sure of the spelling) There was a Lucien Soulez listed at the residence in the 1890s census, presumably a brother. They had 8 children, Julia, Edward, Victor, Charles, Ernest, Fred(?), Phillip, and my grandfather Henry. The boys all had middle names of Joseph. Charles was born in America. Those born prior were born in Belgium. Henry married Adalaide Tarantino circa 1920 and they had two sons, George and Basil, my father and uncle. The Tarantinos were neighbors of the Deltours in Granite City, Madison County, Illinois, according to the census information. We believe that Joseph was the common ancestor for the Deltours in Illinois and Wisconson. We are looking for information regarding the immigration of the family from Belgium to the U.S., what port of entry they used, any naturalization information, as well as marriage, births and deaths. Any information on these individuals would be appreciated. We would be happy to exchange information on members of the family gathered to date. |
