Hi, I'm Jack Delmar and I'm researching our "Roots". Our GGrandfather was William Hiram Pyles who changed his name to Delmar around 1905 after his divorce from our GGrandmother Ruth Elizabeth Gann. He remmarried a Laura Mundell from Kansas ,we think , and moved from Arkansas to Kansas to Creek County, OKla.
I'm a 3rd Generation Kiefer High School Graduate. I graduated in 1967, my father "Bill" in 1937 and my Grandfather , Durwood in 1915.
Some of the names we're researching on our Paternal side are
DELMAR, PILES, PYLES, GANN, LETURNO, HARE and GLASSCOCK. We find the Delmar's
first in Kansas, then to Oklahoma. We find the Pyles/Piles from
Mississippi, Hardeman County, Tennessee, Benton County, Tennessee, Scott County, Arkansas, Johnson County, Arkansas and
Benton County, Arkansas. The Gann's are from Arkansas and Missouri area. The Leturno's could be found in Illinois, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The Hare's were found in Hamilton County, Indiana, to Arkansas around Clay County to Benton County
Arkansas then to Oklahoma. The Glasscocks in Arkansas to Oklahoma.
Some of the names we're researching on our maternal side are
CUMMINS, McMILLIN, HISAW, KAGY, HITE . These migrated from Missouri around Barry Co, and Newton Co., Missouri.
I've found about 7-8 New "cousins" doing this research, and enjoy
