Updated September 6, 2000Most of the research that has been done concerns the Ransom family of Pennsylvania. It also includes the Hess family from the same area. At this point I have around 4000 individuals listed. This includes Samuel Ransom that was a Revolutionary War Captain. Through George Palmer Ransom's wife, Elizabeth Lamoureax, the lineage is established to the French Huguenots.The basic information that I started with is from the "Ransom Genealogy" that was completed in 1973. |
