9. THOMAS JAMES⁶ YOUNGER (JAMES⁵, ALEXANDER⁴, THOMAS³, ALEXANDER², WILLIAM¹) was born March 10, 1761 in North Carolina, and died October 18, 1834 in Williamson County, Tennessee. He married MARY POLLY NALL 1785 in Chatham, North Carolina, daughter of JOHN NALL and MARY GLASS. She was born December 25, 1768, and died February 1864 in Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri.

Source for the following information is "Boone County Historian" - Vol. XII - No. 1 - 1989:

"He (Thomas) disappeared in Williamson County, Tennessee. Family tradition says he gathered up herds of horses and mules and sold them down south. For one such trip, his wife had made him a suit with "large, new Eagle buttons." He left, sold his herd, received the money, disappeared and was never heard from. Later, bones were found in a cave located near where he had sold the herd and with the bones were several "Eagle buttons." Circumstantially, it appears the murdered man be Thomas."
