The Joseph B. Delcarpio Family

This is a quest to find the origins of my husband's family. The first family name is DELCARPIO. It is first mentioned in the 1880 Census in New Orleans. The first family member is Gaetano (Gaytaino) Delcarpio, born 1850, in Manilla, Phillipines, who was the second husband of a Pauline LaBonne (LaBorde). Other family names included in this branch are DENDINGER, ZEEB, HERTZOG--all German, but all residing in New Orleans at the turn of the century. Finally I am interested in the name MELIUS (Henry) who resided in New Orleans around 1890.
I would appreciate any help in finding information about these names and, though I'm just beginning, I'd gladly share anything I find with others.
