| Last Updated: 7 Feb 1998 I am working on a Family tree of people related by any means to my wife and I. My great grandfather Blas DeLaTorre, came to South Texas via New Orleans from Barcelona Spain around 1890. Related names are Vera and Garces of Brownsville, TX, and Bush of Galveston, TX. That is all I know about his family. My mother Annaliese Hartmann came to America in 1948 from Baveria in Southern Germany. Related names are: Bayrhof, Neumann, Roessler, Dittrich, Singer, Weigel, Haeusser, and Sonntag. Her family will be sending me more information soon. My sister Sandra is married to Douglas Fetzer, son of Jim Fetzer of Iowa, her mother in law is Shirley Howe daughter of the late Rae Howe of Missouri. I received alot of family tree information from this family, they are related to the Amish, Yoder familes. I seek more information about Gov John West of Virginia Colony, Unity Fox and Henry (I, II, III) Fox as I have found a possible connection between the two. My Brother Charles is married to Patti Jenkins, daughter of retired General Cecil Jenkins. I am still awaiting more information from this family. My wife's maiden name was Christine M. Carabajal, daughter of the late Emma Agado and the late Lazaro Carabajal. Her sister Nelda is married to Edward Martinez of Converse, TX and her sister Lisa is married to Silas Green (and Hildebrandt or Hillebrandt) of Boerne, TX (and the Florida panhandle and southern Alabama). My wife comes from one of the oldest families in Texas, before the Easter Islander came (also relatives, the Leal's of Pleasenton and San Marcos, TX) in the 1650 the Becerra's, and DeLaGarza's were here with the first settlement at La Bahia. A number of other names appear but I will list only those that I have multilpe listings for: Caravajal, DeLaTorre, DeLaGarza, Del Prado, Fetzer, Garza, Green, Rubio, Lambaria, Lambarida, Tobias, Quinter, Quintero, Arenas, Lee, Conner, Seguin, Blalock, Bontan, Cabrera, Cadena, Carson, Castro, Espinosa, Flores, Galaviz, Garcia, Gentry, Gomez, Guerra, Guzman, Hernandez, Lopez, Mendoza, Portillo, Ramirez, Rebollso, Reynolds, Serratta, Valdes, Vargas, Ybarbo, Yoder. I currently have approximately 5400 names linked to each other and an additional 1000 (in another file) who are known to be related but I cannot make the correct link. Please check out my familytree, maybe you can help me add more information. If there is a connection and you send me a disk from your FamilyTree Maker I will add it to mine then backup the merged reports and send them back to you. I have received alot of help from people around the country - please don't be offended if I have broken off contact. Some of my addreses were accidently erased from my computer so I no longer have a way to contact those of you that are asking for links when I can find them to your side of the family. PLEASE if you want me to figure out a link send me any names but as always the more the better. Some living people have neglected to provide requested information - I currently believe this to be approximately 3000 names - they all say they know of people but do not take the time to contact me with the information.
