* Artist. Biography in the "Swiss Lexicon of Art", Franenfeld, 1905.
Moved to Paris in 1732 to study under the French masters. Returned to
Zurich, and in 1750 he accepted the office of "Oberster Salzhause
Diener" (Chief Administrator of Salt Works).

by William J. Hinke (Lancaster, PA 1951).
