DeMoss, Wolfe, Shirley, Hinz, Genealogy of IA

My research has only began in this year of 2001. I have always been interested in my family heritage, and am only now beginning what seems to be an interesting yet endless and complicated search for my "ROOTS".
My name is Angella DeMoss. I am descendant of DeMoss / Wolfe (Fritcher-), and Shirley- / Hinz- (Wiedeman-Hass).
Most of the information I have is on the Hinz, Shirley sides. Some DeMoss history as well. Not to much on Wiedeman, Fritcher, or Hass sides.
Right now I am taking it one at a time, and am working extensively on the Hinz side. There is much found and much to find. I am in contact with German authorities as of present and am hopeful.... Through research it is found that we originate from a small village called "Wulfen", on the island of Fehmarn, Germany. I am told by many in Germany that it is called "God's Country".
