"The Manuel Tavares DeMellos of Hawaii"

Manuel Tavares DeMello was born in Portugal abt. 1829. He married Maria Jacintha Medeiros who was also born in Portugal abt. 1829. They had two sons that I know of: Jules Tavares DeMello and Victorino Tavares DeMello. Jules was born in Portugal on 7-25-1849 and died on 11-12-1919 in Hilo, HI. He was married to Annie Caeser Perries who was born in Portugal on January 1855 and died in St. Petersburg, Fl, date unknown.

Victorino was born abt. 1856 in Portugal and died 9-25-1896 in Hilo, HI. He was married to Mary Julia Machado who was born on 2-1868 in Portugal, deceased date unknown.

This tree includes only the Jules Tavares DeMello line.

Jules DeMello had seven children. I have found most of them. The youngest, Ida DeMello, has the least information.
