Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I am researching the Shover and DeMore Families of New Jersey. Most associated surnames and extensions are old New Jersey names or have a long History of being in that State. A few were in Pennsylvania, but, ultimately ended up in NJ. I will share any information that I have. I am having the most problems with the lines from 1800 on, which is surprising. And the most difficult, as any researcher knows, with current relatives.
Most all of the surnames came from Great Britain or Germany. A few originated in France and at least one is of Scandinavian(Viking) origin.
