They came from a town in Italy called Santa Croce Del Sannio in the provence of Benevento . The original spelling of the name was Di Micco.I have data that dates to the late 1600's. Most of this data was researched and collected in Santa Croce Del Sannio by Giulio Salemme. Giulio is a genealogist that lives in Italy. I think he is the best in the business. The most common names in the tree are DeMicco, Di Micco, DiMaria, Festa, D'uva, Gioa, Cappozzi, Saccomanno, and Zeoli. I would be happy to share information if anyone is interested.
