| Welcome to my DeHart Genealogy Home Page. I have spent the past twenty-five years researching this family. This has been my favorite hobbie. The earliest DeHart's came from Amsterdam, Holland. They first settled in New York. Later, some moved to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Now one can find DeHart's throughout the United States. The first DeHart in my line in which I have direct proof as to my lineage is Cornelius DeHart. He purchased land in Amity Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania in 1742. His son John was in the Revolutionary War. Other ancestors were Peter, John C., Cornelius, and Frederick A. DeHart all brothers, who fought in the Civil War. Other related families are the following: Weidner, Hoerner, Feger, Dease, and Charles surnames. I am willing to share information on the DeHart's and their allied families. |
