First, I am searching for the parents of Jonathan Dennis (b. 1821 NJ?), a blacksmith/farmer, who moved from Elmira,Chemung Co., NY to Will Co., IL in 1856. He lived there with his wife, Mahala Jane Decker, raising six children William, Louisa, John, Sylvester, Frank, and Anthony. He died of cornary disease in 1902. 1855 NY Census indicates Jonathan may have been born in Orleans Co., NY and has a brother Stephen - b.ca. 1819.

Second, I am looking for ancestors of William Duncan, b. 1776, NY?, d. 1852-3, Penfield, NY. He was married to Sally Mayhew Child (b.1/18/1804), daughter of Amasa Child and Joanna Carpenter. They bore six children in NY, Amasa, Maria, Levi, Mary, Adeline and Sarah.

To see Dennis and Duncan family lineages, click on the respective View Report. Please contact me if you have any information or wish to make inquiries. I will gladly reciprocate.
