Peck Cemetery

South of US Highway 59 on Hill Street

City of Goliad, Goliad County, Texas

A stone fence surrounds the Peck Cemetery. There are three graves outside the stone fence and two more graves inside an iron fence. Set into the stone fence is a large pink granite marker. The cemetery is named for Barton Peck who was buried there in October 1861. His was the first grave in the cemetery. At present, July 2000, there are twenty-nine graves in the cemetery. The cemetery is in excellent condition. John Von Dohlen, who is a second great grandson of Barton Peck, and his family perform all of the maintenance for this cemetery.
