Most of my ancestors came from Baden, Bayern Pfalz, Alsace and Hesse into New Orleans and stayed there. Some went elsewhere, notably St Louis, Texas, and North Carolina. But on one side, I have many relatives from Ireland and England, possibly from Scotand and Wales, who came over in the seventeenth, eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, notably in NC, MD, VA, PA, TN, OH, IL, MO.
The surnames I am researching include:

ADAMS, ALBERSTADT, ALBERT, APFFEL, BEHRLE, BURRIS, CARDER, CHAMBERS, DOERNBACHER/ DERENBECKER, ETHERIDGE, GELDREICH, GOWIN, GROH, GUTMANN, HARRIS, HURRY, JAMERSON, KILBRIDE, KLEIN, KNIESS, KOPP, LEACH, LOGAN, MAYER, McKUEN, MEROT, MIDGETT, MUNKENAST, O'NEIL, OSER, OSWALD, REAM, ROCKENBACH, ROEDER, SCHMIDT, SEIBERT, SWEENEY, WEBER, WHITE, WILLIAMS, WILSON.

If you have an interest or info on these names please e-mail me at SandDer@aol.com.
