Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I am interested in compiling the complete family tree of the descendants of Oswald Detchon, who emigrated to the U.S. about 1798, as well as 18th century Brittingham, Moody, Meredith, Garland -- all of Virginia -- and Hilton and Wiggin of colonial New Hampshire, especially Gov. Thomas Wiggin. Other names of particular interest are Paul Hamilton Lewis and Elizabeth Shortridge, parents of Burwell Boykin Lewis (1838-85), member of Congress and president of the University of Alabama.
