| Names and variations;Devier, Dever, Deaver, Devers, Diver mainly of Virginia, Kentucky and Missouri. This family owned a 3000 acre plantation between Bridgewater, Va and Spring Creek, Va, started by Hugh Dever b. 1728 and wife, Agnes Blain b. 1731. James, William, John and Hugh Dever/Devier are names that run through many generations. Many descendants still live in the area. I have about 2500 names. Also my mother's line:Wilson, Hartzell S. b. 1860 ; John S. Wilson b. 1817 ; Isaac Wilson b. 1776 (Pa) all of Mahoning and Columbiana counties in NE Ohio. Also James Robison b. 1841 ; Edward Robison b. 1818 ; Joseph Robison b. abt 1790's of Mahoning and Columbiana counties of NE Ohio and Pa. Also Shulse, Robert Henry b. 1904 married Virginia May Skamencia (Kamencia) b. 1921 in Missouri. Also Asher and Skamencia orginated from Chech. My Dever/Devier line came through Virginia, Kentucky and finally bought about 1000 acres of land in Boone County, Missouri in 1818. I owned part of that farm until 2004 and was the fifth generation to be on it. |
