Heraldry It appears that the Devlin Coat of Arms was awarded to two separate families, both from Donegal. The following entry is found in Burke's General Armory of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales: Devlin (granted to Jeremiah Devlin of New York, America, son of Jeremiah Devlin of Buncrana, County Donegal). In "Manuscript Sources for the History of Irish Civilization, Volume 1 (Persons A-D)" (G.K. Hall and Co., 70 Lincoln St. Boston, MA 1965) edited by Richard J. Hayes, lists the following two entries: 1. Devlin (Jeremiah) of Buncrana. Geneological Office Ms. 109, pp 259-260 - Copy of Grant of Arms to the descendants of Jeremiah Devlin of Buncrana, Co.
