He married Cecely F. McColgan on April 26, 1925 in Boston, Suffolk County, MA, USA, daughter of John McColgan and Grace McEleny.

At the time of the 1901 Irish Census Patrick was age 9 (i.e. born 1892/1893). He lived with his parents in his grandparents' home. Patrick was a student who could read and write.
Patrick emigrated to the U.S. on the S.S. Caledonia from Londonderry to New York, NY on May 21, 1911. He was traveling with his sister Teresa and both were planning on staying with their Aunt, Grace Bradley at 22 Walker Street, Charletown. Theresa was listed on page 68, line 7 and Patrick on line 6. Patrick's age was listed as 20 and he was single. He was 5'9'' tall with fair skin, fair hair and blue eyes. Patrick's occupation on the ship's manifest was listed as Farm Laborer.
The 1920 Census listed Patrick (28 years old) as living at 22 Melrose Street with his wife Anna (Age 20) and his aunt Grace who was 70 years old.
According to the 1930 Census, Patrick was 38 years old and lived with his wife Celia, age 28, daughter Teresa, age 3 and Sone James P., age 5 at 37 Bartlett Street in Boston. Patrick indicated the he was 34 when he married and Celia was 24 when she married. Patrick worked as a laborer on the railroad. He indicated that he was naturalized in 1920 and Celia indicated that she was naturalized in 1923.
Patrick was naturalized on January 18, 1943, Petition Number 245550 (3206893) while living at 43 Soley Street, Charlestown - Age 50 at the time.

According to Longshoreman's Card number 103633 (issued May 28, 1951) he was age 57, 5'9", 185 lbs. (i.e. DOB 1894). He belonged to I.L.A local 799.
Patrick was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden MA from the Carr Funeral Home on July 14, 1980 (Age 88) at Path 21 South St. Clement St., Grave number 12. Certificate number 6531E. The plot was purchased January 20, 1960 (His wife Celia died at age 63).
