Anna Bagdzevich was born July 29, 1863 in Suwalki, Poland, and died July 29, 1945 in Dedham, Massachusetts, U.S.A.. She married Augustin Jalowski on Abt. 1885 in Suwalki, Poland.
Notes for Anna Bagdzevich: After Anna's daughters Veronica and Michalina went to the United States, she remained in Poland with her youngest son Joseph. When she and Joseph were later able to go to the United States, she was turned away at Ellis Island because she had Conjunctivitis. She was later able to enter the U.S. and lived with her son William in Dedham. She never learned to speak English, so all her relatives had to speak Polish around her.
Anna emigrated to the United States arriving at Ellis Island, New York on January 23, 1913 on board the SS Noordam from Rotterdam, Netherlands. She was 45 at the time and was accompanied by her son Joseph who was 9 years old. Both Anna and Joseph listed their residence as Krzywe, Russia. She was also accompanied by a Magdalena Jalowska, 20, of Krzywe, Tolwark, Russia. Magdalena was a family friend who used the Jalowska name to enter the United States. She listed Anna's son, Waclaw Jalowski as her sponsor.
Anna is buried in the same grave as her son Kostanty, his wife Anna and their son Richard.

Anna Jalowski
Mrs. Anna (Bagdzevich) Jalowski died Sunday, July 29, in Dedham after a loong illness. She was a native of Poland and the widow of Augustine Jalowski. The funeral services were held Wednesday, August 1, from her daughter's home, Mrs. Constant Stankevich, 89 Pine St. Dedham with a requiem mass at St. Adalbert's Polish Church in Hyde Park at 9 a.m. Interment was at the family lot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Besides her daughter in Dedham she leaves three sons, Joseph of Westwood, Konstant of Brighton, and Walter of Connecticut. She also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Walter Dydzak of Brighton; sixteen grandchildren and 2 great grand-children.
