Notes for James Bradley: James Bradley was the only person of that surname listed in Griffith's Valuation of Tenements who lived in the townland of Binnion. The Valuation of Clonmany took place in 1857. Griffith's listed James Bradley as living in Binnion on property 1A, reference "a". The property was detailed on the 1857 Ordnance Survey map of Clonmany. The land in and around Clonmany was later stripped in 1860 and, according to Valuation Office records, the property was listed on the latter Ordnance Survey Map 10-3, as Map Reference 8651 with James Bradley living in the dwelling marked g1 and Patrick Bradley in the dwelling marked g2. By 1916 the dwellings were in ruins. This property still existed as a ruin tucked into the side of a hill on the beach at Binnion across from the Binnion house as of March 2003. The stones from the top half of the house appear to have been used in the construction of boundry walls on the property.
James and Grace Bradley of Binnion were listed in the 1908 O.A.P. claims as the parents of Peggy Bradley (who was 2 months old at the time of the 1841 Census) of Binnion. It is likely that Peggy was the sister of James Bradley Jr. and his sister Grace.
