"Mrs. G.M. Neales dies at Gagetown - Last Surv iving Member of Family of Late Isaac DeVeber - Gagetown, N.B., Dec. 11 (Special) - Many friends will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Gabriella Margaret Neales, widow of DeVeber Neales, which occurred on Tuesday evening at the ome of her daughter, Mrs. F.H. Duvernet, after a short illness. Mrs Neales, who was the last surviving member of the family fo the late Isaac DeVeber and Elizabeth Mary (Halstead) DeVeber, was born at Gagetown where she spent her earlier years. Later she resided in Chelsea, Mass., and more recently in Glendale, Cal., returning to Gagetown about three years ago.
She leaves one son, J. Keble Neales, Venice, Cal.; two daughers, Miss Gabriella K. Neales, R.N., and Mrs. Duvernet, Gagetown; six grandchildren, William Kortright Neales, Long Beach, Cal., Miss Gay Duvernet, of the staff of the Bank of Montreal, Saint John, Miss Bettie DuVernet, Saint John, and the Misses Frances, Patricia and Carol DuVernet, Gagetown, and one great grandson, William Kortright Neales, jr., Long Beach, Cal. The funeral will be held from St. John's Church, Gagetown, on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the rector, Rev. Herbert J. Hoyt, officiating. internment will be inthe adjoining churchyard."
