"...her Grandfather, Captain Thomas William Moore was a famous participant in the American Revolution having joined the British Army in Halifax in 1776, and being in charge of Savannah (Georgia) for a while during a famous siege. He returned to Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, where he was a famous figure until his death. Among his many sons and daughters (Mrs. Campbell, Mrs Harrington, Mrs Bibby, etc.) was William Charles Moore. ...."
