Notes for NATHANIEL SOULE:
On Mar 4, 1674, he was summoned before the courts on a charge of adultery with an Indian woman. On Mar 1, 1675, he and the woman were whipped at the post and he was ordered to pay her 10 bushels of Indian corn towards the support of her child by him. He was also cited for numerous abuses, such as "lyes, unlawful entry and trespass."

Notes for ELIZABETH SOULE:
Elizabeth and Nathaniel Church, grandson of Pilgrim Richard Warren, were fined five pounds on Mar 3, 1663, for fornication. On Oct 5, 1663, Elizabeth sued Nathaniel for 200 pounds for failing to marry her but the court awarded her only 10 pounds. On Jul 2, 1667, Elizabeth was in court again for committing fornication a second time, but this time she was sentenced to suffer corporal punishment by being whipped at the post.

Notes for JOHN HASKELL:
John became a resident before 1675, took the Freeman's oath in 1688 and was named a proprietor on Nov. 12, 1695. His estate was admitted to probate 1706 but no Will or distribution has been found. He did record the birth of his children in the Middleboro Town Records.
