This is the beginning of my family tree journey. I am planning, over the next year, to continue my research, gathering information from family members and from any documents I can find pertaining to our history in the beginnings of America and our history in other countries. If anyone has information that may be useful, please feel free to contact me by email.
My grandfather was Willard Garfield Smith married to Mae Lucille Young. I am in the process of reading my grandfather's autobiography and piecing together a lot of the history I had been unaware of until now. I have 1388 people, to date, in my family tree; and have traced them back to the founding of Long Island. I still need more information about the origins of the family who helped found Long Island. Namely, John Osborn (born July 3, 1765), whose wife was Hanna, who came to Long Island from Kent, England, I think.
Sincerely,
Michelle (Day) Harris
