| Adam and Katarina Dexheimer came to Chicago, Illinois from Darmstadt Hesse in the 1850's and started a family. Adam was a shoemaker, Katarina was a seamstress/dressmaker. August and Ida Wetter came to Chicago, Illinois from Sweden about 1880, and started a family with three boys and a girl. August was a carpenter, Ida a homemaker. These two families met in the Stone Church, on the South Side of Chicago. That church as been a pivotal point in most of the descendants of these pioneers to Chicago.
