| I just recently started working on my family tree, because I was given this program as my birthday present. I wanted to get started because the surname of my father is an unusual one, Lickfelt. I have been told that his people came from Germany, but I'm sure when they lived in Germany that the spelling was probably different. Information that I have says that my Great- Great Grandfather came from Hamburg, but I have no documentation of this. Most Lickfelt's that I have information on lived in northeastern Ohio, Kansas, or Michigan. I have also started to look into my mother's family as well, Ferguson. I have just started and at this time have no information to share. Of course, I have also been looking into other surnames that have been in my family, Webb, Fraiser, and Ulman I find this work very interesting. I want to do this now, while there are older members of my family that I can ask questions of. I also have a daughter and I want to create this for her, so when she is older, she will "know" of her heritage. |
