"The Francis Dieterich Family Homeage"

FRANCIS DIETERICH b 2/2/1815-Cassel(Kassel)Germany,d.5/31/1847-Austin,Texas was an important immigrant to the State of Texas. Durning his life here in Texas he fought with Colonel Fannin at the Battle of Goliad,captured twice and release both times. Francis and his family settled in Austin, Texas after the war, where he opened one of the very first general stores in Austin, on the corner of 6th and Congress and was a leading member of the Austin City Goverment.
