I am currently researching the Dietz side of my family. My great-great grandfather immigrated from Hessen, Germany around 1865, and settled in St. Wendel (Posey Co), IN. He moved his family to Gallatin County, IL around 1900. The Dietz side of my family continued, and continues, to live in southeastern region of Illinois. Other surnames I am researching include: Botzum, Walton, Kohl, and Schmitt.
