(a) Elizabeth(1826-1873) was the daughter of Griffin S. Sowards(1799-1881) from Virginia and Mary Elizabeth Perkins(1807-1874). She first married Wilson B. Lewis prior to her 16th birthday in 1842. They had at least five children prior to Wilson's untimely death at the age of 38. Elizabeth, next married William Cyrus Dillon(1817-1903), a widower with young children. Elizabeth and William merged their two families and had nine more children. She died eighteen days after the birth of her 14th child, Nettie Alberta Dillon, August 8, 1873. Nettie Alberta, also at this site, later said, she was not sure she had ever met all her brothers and sisters. Elizabeth's gravesite in the Kingry Cemetery, Windsor Twp., Lawrence Co., OH, is next to her husband, William C. Dillon.
