(b) Isaac Dillon(1835-1893), profiled elsewhere on this site, built this Worth Co., MO residence, following his Civil War experiences, marriage to Jane Rapp and resettlement to MO. This residence was also the home to the three Dillon children, son, John William Sherman, and daughters, Exie Avonia "Fawna" and Greta Ethel. After the passing of Isaac, this home became the residence of son, "Sherm" Dillon and his wife, Frances Mullins Dillon. Tragically, it was destroyed by fire in 1947, taking with it over fifty years of Dillon family research by Sherm Dillon. Fortunately, John William Sherman's biography captured some of the details of his father's Civil War campaigns and some of the details of his Dillon family research. This photo was taken in 1919.
