(b) In the woods to the left are the graves of Peter Dillon, Sr., his wife, Mary
Veghte and their son, Peter Dillon, Jr., all discussed or profiled at the DILLON
FOLK photo site or profiled at the online site, 'Conquest, the Story of Peter
Dillon and his Family'. Peter Dillon and his family moved here by 1820 from
Greene Co., PA. Most of his children and their families lived here as well, until
moving on to Knox Co., Iowa, Michigan and Missouri. Peter's son, John
Dillon, was an exception. Though he may have lived here for a short time, John
continued to live in Franklin Twp., Greene Co., PA until the middle 1830s,
when he resettled to Monroe Co., OH.
