(a) Ferry Leroy was the second eldest son of Alpha Leroy and Betty Fulks Dillon. Born in Miller, Lawrence Co., OH, according to his WWI military record, he was also one of three sons of 'Alph' and Bettie to serve in WWI. His photo also describes his military unit and length of service.
Ferry Leroy and his wife, Addie Bowman Dillon, are buried in the Crown City Cemetery, Gallia Co., Ohio. His father, Alpha Leroy is a third generation descendant of McCager Dillon(1786-1859) and Mary "Polly" Callicott from Franklin Co., Virginia. Betty E. Fulks was the sister of John E. Fulks, who married Jennie Bertha Dillon, daughter of William S. and Rachel Reed Dillon, thus connecting this Dillon family with a second Dillon line from Pennsylvania.
