(a) In addition to the inscribed information regarding his military service during WWI, (Clarence was the son of John Henry Simeon Dillon(1862-1922) and Rebecca Jane "Jennie" Dawson(1863-1929), the grandson of William Henry Dillon(1840-1905) and Lucinda D. Pricey Powell Dillon(1841-1914), all descendants of the Squire Dillon, Celia Ward Dillon line from Virginia. Siblings of Clarence were Nellie, Nettie May who married Henry Cleveland Bowen, Minnie E. who married Nick McCoy, Leslie H. who married Fannie Chatfield, William Henry, Clara Belle who married Clarence Gaines Massie, John Lawrence who married Eva Nellie Malone, Edward Harold who married Stella Kelley, and Albert Curtley.
